3.1 PHILLIP LIM has opened its first UK store in London's South Kensington. Located on Pelham Street, the 3,200 square-foot space sells the label's men's, women's and accessories collections.
The opening marks the first stage in the New York brand's British retail expansion, with a second shop planned for next year - the location of which will be announced in early 2014. The development strategy will be completed in collaboration with luxury retail company Club 21 UK.

Victoria Beckham’s Fashion Camouflage
VICTORIA BECKHAM may be known for her chic, polished look, but the designer has revealed that it is borne of necessity much of the time.
"These days, I'm up with at least one of my children most of the night, so I always wear a pair of sunglasses and a really good handbag," she said. "I love the fitted signature dress, and that's a look that people associate with me, but then I also like to wear something looser, whether it's a loose-fitting pant or shirt or whatever it might be."
After experiencing fame as a Spice Girl, Beckham reveals that becoming a renowned fashion designer has been a rewarding - if surprising - transition.

Is Covent Garden The New Selfridges?
COVENT GARDEN is undergoing a retail makeover - overseen by a woman with an intimate knowledge of how London's many residents and visitors like to shop. Beverley Churchill - marketing and communications director of Capco, the property development company managing the overhaul - is a former marketing director of Selfridges.
"I took the logic of the department store with me to Covent Garden, thinking of the covered market as the ground floor with lots of colour and great food, and the streets off the piazza as different retail departments," she said. "We're definitely focused on luxury - but not exclusively. We want it to be a very democratic neighbourhood with a broad appeal."
